Ginger was pulled from the auction in January 2024. Her hooves were severely overgrown, her coat was long and matted, she had notable muscle wasting and a respiratory infection. She also experienced an injury during a farrier visit. She was fearful of humans, but this quickly changed with loving care. After frequent visits to the Texas A&M farrier, proper routine care/deworming/nutrition, a whole body shave, and a caring veterinary team- she has become a healthy, confident, and kind miniature mare. She has earned herself a permanent residency at Honest Reins- never getting caught up in the auction pipeline again.
